nice combination of techniques, try experimenting with the flash line, try taking the brush smoothing option down to 25% to avoid the broken lines you're getting, and afterwards select everything with [ctrl a] and the button next to the onion skinning one that lets you play with all the frames at once.

some of the flash that was overlayed onto the 3D had the head of the guitar cut off:(

and typically I just import the 3D into flash, draw over it and delete the 3D to conserve file size

thanx, and yea i know there are some issues with it hehe. it was my first class with flash and first time using max with flash. i still like it overall though. i learned alot on the two from it though, maybe ill redo it so it all looks right. maybe in maya... better vector shaders...hmmm hehe

try getting your hands on opimaze or streamline so you can turn the 3D movies into vectors for hopefully smaller and snazzier files

sounds a lot like Jaco. don't use jpeg compression, makes it real ugly looking. Otherwise, very nice.
